Very simply solving the funding crisis for better media by enabling small and large donors to give to the whole sector, not just one organisation, and fund everything that is important.
⅓ of its money goes to (regulated) media, ⅓ goes to infrastructure, ⅓ goes to a project pot which YOU get to vote on.

What if every time we called a strike or action it made us stronger, as an organisation, an institution, rather than a one-off campaign?
Impress — The Independent Press Regulator
No one cares about the rules or the ref until you're screwed by bad rules or a bad referee.
Impress is a regulator (referee) that sets the regulations (rules) for the media. It is not funded by the state, or by any of the media it regulates. It is there to work only in the public interest.
This makes it a global rarity, a treasure to be protected, because in the battle for our minds we need to have a good, impartial ref, and good, impartial rules.
